The General Management Plan Amendment has been released and is available for review. This plan proposes building a new visitor center within the footprint of the existing visitor center and at minimum returning priority museum objects, if not all museum collections, to the park through the provision of an appropriate curatorial space. The plan, along with supporting documentation per Section 106 of the national Historic Preservation Act, will be available for review online at from November 17, 2017, to January 4, 2018. Comments can be submitted electronically at Select "Open for Comment" on the navigation panel to the left to provide your thoughts on the plan. Written comments can also be sent to the National Park Service, Denver Service Center--Planning, Attention: Erin Flanagan, PO Box 25287, Denver, CO 80225-0287.

Comments need to be received by January 4, 2018, for them to be considered in the plan. Before including your address, phone number, email address, or other personal identifying information with your comments, you should be aware that your entire comment--including personal identifying information--may be made publicly available at any time. Although you can request your personal identifying information be withheld from public review, we cannot guarantee we will be able to do so.

One public meeting will be held online to discuss this planning effort. A presentation on the plan will be held at the beginning of the meeting, and these materials will be posted on the website listed above. Park staff will be available to address questions and comments during the meeting
